The Bible in 180 Days... 2013

READING: March 12 - September 8, 2013

MEETING: March 19 - September 3, 2013
12-1pm in the old sanctuary of the Nazarene Church (900 West Line Street  Bishop, CA)  You are welcome to come early to fellowship.  Bring a sack lunch... or go out to lunch afterwards!

Ideas: Use www.YouVersion.com to read online or on your mobile device (create a free account to save your bookmarks and notes!).  YouVersion will also allow you to listen to the Bible in several versions - Listen while you read!  Use whatever version of the Bible you love.  This will help you become more familiar with your own Bible!
Want more?  We will be discussing what we’ve been reading each week – what stood out for you?  What meant a lot?  What didn’t you understand?  Every other week we will also be watching a DVD covering what we’ve been reading.  In case you want more, there is an audio of another DVD that also covers what we’ve been reading.  You are welcome to download and listen to it!  Click here to download them (remember, they are going twice as fast as we are!).
Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal His Truth to you through His Word and transform your heart and life!
Hope you can join us for this exciting time of delving into God's Word and then coming together to watch a video overview and discuss what we've read.

We know many of you go out of town or something comes up. The wonderful thing about this study is that it doesn't matter where we are... we will each be reading the same scripture reading each day!

If you are in town on a Tuesday, you are invited to come join us! We will discuss what we've read and every other week we will watch a video teaching of what we've read and then discuss it.

While we would of course love for you to be at each meeting, we realize that most of us will come and go throughout the summer... so that's an expectation that's already built into the study! Just show up whenever you can! :)

If you get behind, just read a little bit more each day until you're caught up! This is not a time for legalism... but a time to bathe yourself in HIS WORD! Enjoy the overview... soak in His provision for you!

Thanks for prayerfully considering whether God is calling you to do this with us!  We hope so!

The Bible in 90 Days website has a lot of resources... http://biblein90days.org.  We will try to get a schedule posted as well to help you stay on track.  :)

You are welcome to use your own Bible, but in case you'd like to use the Bible in 90 Days Bible (I call it B90), here is some info on that.  There is also a participants guide and The Essential Bible Companion (gives an overview of each book of the Bible).

I will let you order your own if you'd like to use the B90 materials.  Here are some links...

The Bible in 90 Days Bible ($13.59 through Amazon)

The Bible in 90 Days Participant's Guide ($8.38 through Amazon)

The Essential Bible Companion ($10.19 through Amazon)

All three through Amazon are $32.16... which makes you eligible for free shipping (over $25)

A few years ago we did “The Bible in 90 Days” as our summer study and it was AMAZING!   The study (and reading of the Word) was life changing!  This time we decided to do it in 180 days.  We will use the same program, just give you twice as much time to do it in.  (If you use the B90 Bible – large print NIV – the 90 day version is 12 pages a day… so our 180 day version will be 6 pages a day.  Number of pages per day will vary if you use another Bible – and you’re encouraged to do that if you’d like!)  You are also welcome to invite your family and friends to do this with us!  (But only women at the meetings!)

Previous posts are from the first time we went through the Bible in 90 Days.  We had an email to go along with each day, so I posted the reading and copied and pasted the email each day.  You are welcome to go back and look at each posting.  Remember, we are doing it in 180 days, so Day 1 in this blog will cover our Day 1 and Day 2 reading.  Enjoy!!

Day 90

The B90 - Day 90
Today's reading
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From Revelation 21:6a: "It is done.
I am the Alpha and Omega,
the Beginning and the End."
We are done, too. We have read
from the beginning to the end.
In doing so, we have experienced
ALL of God's Word, something that
is extraordinary in today's world.
IF you are still finishing up, try to
do so as quickly as possible. Set a
specific date, and stick to the date.
Perhaps that date is today. Or a
month from now. But, whatever
that date is, stick to it. You've likely
already read more of the Bible than
ever before, so persevere and finish.
This is likely the best opportunity
you'll ever have in your life to do this.
Don't skip anything. Read it all.
You'll be glad you did.
Day 89
The B90 - Day 89
Today's reading
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grace day: if you have not finished
yet, read as much as you can to try
to finish by tomorrow.
MAKE FINISHING YOUR TOP PRIORITY
for the next two days. Some people
have reads hundreds of pages during
the last few days. Pay attention, but
keep going.
Remember, you are reading God's Word.
Do you think that pleases Him?

Day 88

The B90 - Day 88

Pages 1044-1048 (Revelation 18-22)
