    Pages 648-660 (Jeremiah 10 - 22)

    Something to ponder
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    What are your worthless wooden idols (Jeremiah 10:8)?
    Key verse
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Who should not revere you,
    O King of the nations?
    This is your due.
    Among all the wise men of the nations
    and in all their kingdoms,
    there is no one like you.
    They are all senseless and foolish;
    they are taught by worthless wooden idols.

    Jeremiah 10:7-8

    Reminder
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    For those who are a bit uncomfortable reading Jeremiah -- and are looking forward to somewhat lighter fare -- remember that "All Scripture is God-breathed." It is important that we experience all of God's Word. One very clear purpose for the Book of Jeremiah is stated in something we read recently, Proverbs 9:10: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." So we read Jeremiah and become wiser and more knowledgeable about the Holy One.
    Encouragement
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Where one man reads the Bible, a hundred read you and me."

    Dwight L. Moody
