    Pages 108-120 (Lev 26-Nu 7)

    Something to ponder
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    What did you like about "The Priestly Blessing" (Num. 6:22-26)
    Key verse
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ' "The LORD bless you
    and keep you; 25 the LORD make his face shine upon you
    and be gracious to you;
    the LORD turn his face toward you
    and give you peace." ' Nu 6:24-26

    Reminder
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Read, pay attention, but don't try to remember everything you are reading. Knowledge is only a small portion of you are gaining from this experience. Keep at it and you'll be rewarded in ways that never occurred to you.
    Encouragement
    "I think there are great benefits to reading the Bible from cover to cover... in doing so you realize that the Bible is one story. And it is a story that takes place over a significant period of time. It reveals something significant about who God is, and who we are, and what God has been doing for a long time to reconcile us to Him."
    James Harper, Executive Pastor, First Presbyterian Church
    Resources + Community
    A few years ago there was an article in the Wall Street Journal. It talked about the effectiveness of smoking cessation tools. It indicated that, on average, anyone who used a smoking cessation tool (Nicoderm patch, gum, etc.) had a 5% chance of quitting smoking and staying non-smoking one year later. In contrast, those who used the SAME tool but added a weekly support meeting had a 45% chance of quitting smoking and staying non-smoking one year later.
    Our experience suggests there is an even more dramatic difference between those try to read the Bible on their own, and those who do so in community as part of The Bible in 90 Days program. The sad fact is that -- these days -- MOST people fail when trying to read the Bible on their own. In a survey of our graduates, TWO-THIRDS said they would not have completed the Bible -- ever -- without our program. Tell those who have failed in the past to find out how The Bible in 90 Days can help them succeed in this foundational Christian endeavor.
    Please know that our ministry is here to support you throughout.
